About Me

Hi! Hi! yla! (she/her/hers)

Hi! I'm Myla. (she/her/hers) I was born in San Diego, CA, but after moving around a bit during my childhood, I ended up in Madison, WI for middle and high school. I'm half Black and half Vietnamese, I struggle with a nice sized helping of mental illness, and I like re-fried beans more than the average human. And right now I live in Baltimore, MD.

I've always loved to craft and make things - in middle school I remember weaving duct tape, paper cutting silhouettes, getting puffy paint on my carpet, and of course making earrings.

My recent venture into making pressed flower resin earrings stemmed from quarantine stress. I was exhausted from America's repeated racial injustices and I hadn't seen anyone in weeks, so I turned to my craft nook and made something pretty. I'm so grateful to everyone that has supported me so far - without it, creating for the public would have stayed a pipe dream.
